“Jimi Hendrix stands as the cornerstone of this company, and ultimately, it’s his extraordinary music that unites fans worldwide.”

“I consider myself incredibly fortunate to collaborate on every Jimi Hendrix project alongside Janie Hendrix and Eddie Kramer, who originally engineered Jimi’s music,” McDermott shared with Loudwire Nights host Chuck Armstrong.

“Whether it involves creating album packages, producing documentaries, or other initiatives, our mission is to enhance the appreciation and understanding of Jimi Hendrix among fans. That’s what we strive to achieve.”

When asked to highlight a memorable experience from his 30-year journey with the Hendrix family, McDermott—an avid superfan and expert—found it difficult to pinpoint a single standout moment.

“It’s an immense honor to be associated with Jimi’s incredible music,” McDermott expressed with heartfelt sincerity.

“He is an unparalleled artist with global recognition, transcending American popular culture to become a worldwide icon. I am truly grateful for the continuity we’ve maintained, enabling us to work collaboratively with Janie and Eddie to create these exceptional packages. We pour our hearts into this work, always aiming to deliver the best.”

McDermott approaches every project with a fan’s perspective, hoping that this passion resonates with other fans as well.

“Ensuring that the vinyl reissue of Axis: Bold as Love is executed flawlessly is of utmost importance to me. I take great pride in being part of these significant releases.”

“I must say, the purple box set we released, complete with purple velvet, was a truly remarkable moment,” McDermott reminisced.

“It granted us the opportunity to delve deeper into the recordings Jimi created with the original Experience and Chas Chandler. I’ve experienced numerous moments like that, where I feel genuinely proud of the packages we’ve developed.”
