Stevie Wonder shocked followers with a brand new single titled “Can We Fix Our Nation’s Broken Heart,” marking his first solo launch since 2020.

Although Wonder hasn’t launched an album since 2005’s A Time to Love, he’s issued a number of singles since then. “Can We Fix Our Nation’s Broken Heart” follows 2020’s “Can’t Put It in the Hands of Fate,” a cool, fiery monitor on which Wonder and rappers Rapsody, Chika, Cordae and Busta Rhymes criticized the glacial progress of racial justice in America. “Can We Fix Our Nation’s Broken Heart” arrives roughly one week after Wonder’s look on the 2024 Democratic National Convention, the place he carried out his basic tune “Higher Ground.” The themes of the tune mirror these in his DNC speech.
