Lou Gramm Considers Retirement from Touring in 2025

In recent years, Lou Gramm has openly discussed his thoughts on retirement, indicating that 2025 may mark the end of his touring career. During an insightful conversation with Sirius XM’s Eddie Trunk last November, he shared his plans to step away from the road. “I think I’m going to go [tour] until May or June of next year and then I’m going to go off the road,” he stated. “And that’s gonna be it for me,” signaling a significant transition in his musical journey.

Gramm expressed his concerns regarding performing with the current lineup of Foreigner, referring to them as “another band that calls themselves Foreigner.” In the same interview, he revealed discussions with Foreigner’s management about a potential joint tour, but complications arose over the selection of songs he would be allowed to perform. “There are particular songs that are my trademark songs, and if I can’t sing them, I don’t want to be out on the road,” he explained, highlighting his frustration at not being able to perform his beloved hits. This situation has led him to reconsider his involvement, as he stated, “I’ve been thinking about it for about a month; that’s when I found out that I couldn’t sing my own favorite songs on the tour. So I think I’m just going to tell them I’m not interested.”
