Lou Gramm Plans Retirement for 2025: ‘That’s Gonna Be It’
Former Foreigner frontman Lou Gramm has announced plans to retire in 2025, marking the end of an era for one of rock music’s most iconic voices. During an engaging conversation with Sirius XM’s Eddie Trunk, the celebrated singer shared his timeline for concluding his illustrious career. He stated, “I’m releasing a solo album in January, which I can’t wait for it to hit the airways.” Gramm intends to embark on a tour that will last until May or June of next year, after which he plans to step away from the stage for good. This decision comes after years of speculation about his retirement.
This announcement isn’t the first time Gramm has hinted at stepping back from the spotlight. In 2018, he suggested he had played his final show, and earlier this year, he mentioned that he would conclude his touring career by the end of 2024. However, during his recent discussion with Trunk, the rock legend appeared sincere about his future plans, indicating a genuine desire for a change.

Expressing his personal goals, Gramm explained, “I’ve got things that I’ve had to put aside because of touring.” He emphasized his wish to spend quality time with his seven-year-old daughter and pursue other passions that he has set aside. “I’m a classic and muscle car collector,” he shared with enthusiasm. “I’ve got a small but impressive collection of cars. However, I live in Rochester, New York, where the driving season is limited.” He elaborated on the challenges of driving his beloved cars, as the winter months force him to store them away for extended periods, significantly impacting his ability to enjoy his collection.
