Ratt’s iconic frontman Stephen Pearcy and renowned guitarist Warren DeMartini have exciting news for fans: they unveiled the complete lineup for their highly anticipated M3 reunion. The duo expressed their eagerness to create new music and perform additional live shows, signaling a thrilling new chapter for the band. In a recent interview on Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk, Pearcy and DeMartini shared their thoughts, noting that this was their first conversation since confirming the reunion. They are set to headline the final night of M3 on May 4, following performances by Sebastian Bach and David Lee Roth, marking their first joint performance since 2018.
Joining the legendary duo will be former Ratt and Quiet Riot guitarist Carlos Cavazo, alongside former Ratt and Rough Cutt bassist Matt Thorr and former Slaughter drummer Blas Elias. Notably, Thorr and Elias are currently part of Pearcy’s solo band, further solidifying the collaboration. This lineup reflects a blend of experienced talent, promising an unforgettable reunion for all attendees.
Discussing the addition of Cavazo, who contributed to Ratt’s latest studio album, Infestation, released in 2010, DeMartini expressed his appreciation: “He’s a good listener, and there’s a comfort there that he knows what to do. We just have a similar standard, I think.” This synergy is expected to resonate throughout their performance, delighting fans who cherish the band’s classic sound.

Understanding the Decision Behind Not Calling Their Reunion ‘Ratt’
Pearcy and DeMartini clarified that classic-era Ratt bassist Juan Croucier and drummer Bobby Blotzer will not be part of the M3 reunion. They elaborated on their reasoning for not labeling their performance as a Ratt reunion. “It’s not about Ratt. It’s about the legacy of our music, and who better to deliver it?” Pearcy remarked. He emphasized that without all the original members, including the late guitarist Robbin Crosby, they felt it was best to approach this reunion with a fresh perspective. “We want this nice and smooth,” he added, underscoring their desire to ensure a positive experience for everyone involved.
Both musicians indicated they’ve received various offers since the M3 reunion announcement, revealing that they are exploring options for future performances. They are also enthusiastic about writing new material, indicating a desire to keep the creative juices flowing. “Obviously new music is what I’m thinking, always,” Pearcy stated. “If Warren’s writing, I’m in there. But M3 is definitely the perfect place to kick it off,” highlighting their commitment to evolving their sound while honoring their roots.
