Spencer Pratt Shares Heartfelt Plea for Support After Losing Home in Devastating Fire
Spencer Pratt, known for his reality TV presence, has openly embraced self-promotion as a means of generating income after he and his wife Heidi Montag tragically lost their home in the recent Palisades Fire. In a bold move, he also took the opportunity to defend fellow celebrity Mandy Moore from unwarranted criticism, all while navigating the backlash he faces for his own actions during this difficult time.
Mandy Moore has made a heartfelt appeal on behalf of her in-laws, whose home was completely devastated by the raging fires, along with many homes in the surrounding areas, highlighting the severe impact of this disaster on families and communities.
The beloved actress from This Is Us and her family — including her husband, musician Taylor Goldsmith of Dawes and their three children — found themselves impacted by the Eaton Fire in Altadena. This devastating event rendered their residence uninhabitable, leaving their garage and Taylor’s studio in complete disarray, emphasizing the widespread devastation caused by these wildfires.

In her message, she elaborated, stating, “People questioning whether we’re helping our family or attributing some arbitrary amount of money that Google suggests someone has is NOT helpful or empathetic. Of course, we are helping.”
She continued, “Our friend Matt started this GoFundMe, and I’m sharing it because people have asked how they can help. We just lost most of our life in a fire too,” she added. “Kindly F OFF. No one is forcing you to do anything.”
After the backlash, she decided to disable comments on her post to minimize further negativity.
The GoFundMe campaign has successfully reached its goal, and Mandy has begun sharing additional fundraisers on her Instagram Story to support families who have also lost their homes in this tragic event.

Heidi Montag’s Album Soars to Number One Amidst Crisis
Addressing the controversy surrounding his actions, Spencer Pratt sparked further discussion on Friday with a TikTok video where he urged his followers to watch a previously shared video on his account, claiming that a high number of views would trigger a payout for him, emphasizing the financial strain he is under.
“I could earn up to $1,100 from TikTok if it becomes one of the top 10 most liked TikToks with that song. It’s more likely to be around $200, but it could go as high as $1,100,” he explained in the video, as reported by Us Weekly.
“So, if you’re bored, please go like that last video,” he added, referring to the clip featuring Aly & AJ’s “What It Feels Like.” He mentioned that since the duo wears the Pratt Daddy Crystals featured in the video, “it’s kind of an authentic promo,” while cheekily adding, “I also want to get that $1,000.”
In another video, he encouraged his followers to stream Heidi Montag’s 15-year-old debut album Superficial, a request that surprisingly resulted in significant success, far exceeding his expectations.

He defended his actions and even shared a comment from his Instagram that read, “Of course Spencer’s gonna milk his burned down house for every dollar it’s worth.”
“Duh. Duh. That’s right. Let me figure out every dollar I can get,” Pratt stated in his follow-up TikTok. “Of course, I’m trying to get money to pay for my life with my family because our house and all of our possessions burned down.”
“And if I can do it on social media, which has been my primary source of income for years, showcasing our journey of losing our home and possessions, do you not think I’m going to continue leveraging it for every dollar?” he asked, emphasizing the reality of his situation.
