Narcos: Mexico star Manuel Masalva is currently facing a life-threatening medical situation after experiencing a severe health crisis.
The 43-year-old talented Mexican actor is in a medically induced coma in a hospital located in Dubai, battling a critical condition that arose from a serious bacterial infection contracted during his vacation. This alarming health emergency has raised concerns among his fans and the entertainment community.
Masalva arrived in Dubai, a vibrant city in the United Arab Emirates, on March 18, following his time spent in the Philippines. His manager, Jaime Jaramillo Espinosa, shared insights with the Los Angeles Times on April 4, revealing that after only two days in Dubai, Masalva began experiencing increasing internal discomfort and pain, symptoms that escalated rapidly.
According to his manager, medical professionals discovered that Masalva, who had previously shared pictures from his trip to the Philippines on March 14 via his Instagram account, was suffering from a bacterial infection. He underwent emergency surgery on March 26 to address the issue. Unfortunately, the situation worsened the following day when the infection spread to his lungs, necessitating his placement in a medically induced coma, as reported by the newspaper.
Masalva’s manager further informed the outlet that doctors have successfully identified the specific type of bacteria responsible for his condition and have begun administering appropriate antibiotics. “Additionally, his respirator settings have been adjusted down to 80 percent,” he noted, indicating that Masalva’s lungs are showing signs of improvement and responding positively to treatment.
E! News has reached out to Masalva’s representative for further information but has yet to receive a response regarding his current health status.
