MC5 Announces First Album in 53 Years, ‘Heavy Lifting’


MC5 will launch a new album on Oct. 18. Significant Lifting marks the band’s extremely initial studio report in 53 quite a few years.

Why Hasn’t MC5 Launched an Album Considering that the ’70s?

Kramer and Thompson had been the very last surviving members of MC5’s initial lineup. Singer Rob Tyner died in 1991, guitarist Fred “Sonic” Smith died in 1994 and bassist Michael Davis died in 2012.
