Erik and Lyle Menendez are once again in the spotlight as their family members organize a rally aimed at advocating for the incarcerated brothers. This event specifically targets L.A. County District Attorney Nathan Hochman, demanding a reevaluation of the circumstances surrounding their case.
Representatives from the Justice for Erik and Lyle Coalition are scheduled to speak shortly outside District Attorney Hochman’s office in downtown Los Angeles. According to their press release, the coalition plans to highlight what they describe as Hochman’s “unwavering focus on the past,” while disregarding the current identities and lives of Erik and Lyle Menendez.
The Justice for Erik and Lyle Coalition has released a powerful statement reaffirming their commitment to supporting the brothers until they can return home. The coalition has expressed strong condemnation of the District Attorney, asserting that Hochman is attempting to “overlook and silence victims of sexual abuse,” a claim that resonates deeply with their mission.
District Attorney Hochman has already stated that he is rejecting the request for resentencing for the Menendez brothers. He has publicly criticized them for what he refers to as numerous falsehoods they relayed during the trial, arguing that their inability to retract these lies makes it straightforward for him to deny their hearing.

This is Gavin Newsom
It’s important to note that California Governor Gavin Newsom has already initiated a review of the Menendez brothers’ case by requesting the parole board to evaluate it. As a result, the resentencing hearing may not have been necessary, as Erik and Lyle will face the parole board in June, a detail recently disclosed by Newsom himself.

In a recent conversation, we spoke with Mark Geragos, the attorney representing Erik and Lyle, who also co-hosts our popular podcast “2 Angry Men”. Geragos strongly criticized Hochman for rehashing outdated talking points from the 1990s and failing to acknowledge that the brothers have indeed admitted to some of their earlier misstatements during the trial.
Despite the ongoing life sentences without the possibility of parole for Erik and Lyle, who are currently held at a correctional facility near San Diego for the tragic murders of their parents, it appears they have garnered substantial support from various advocates and community members who believe in their cause.
