Meri Reveals Kody’s List to Improve Their Sister Wives Union
Janelle Raises Concerns About Kody’s Financial Management Practices
Expressing frustration over the family’s struggle to settle the debts associated with Coyote Pass, Janelle pointed out that Kody often cited having “all these other debts” as an excuse. However, she observed Kody acquiring various assets, including trailers and decorative items for their homes. “I notice the art adorning their walls,” she remarked regarding Robyn and Kody’s residence. “I recognize that I have money too and have spent it on things.” Kody, on the other hand, explained that a significant portion of his finances went towards purchasing vehicles—claiming he essentially owned a fleet—as well as securing insurance for the children.
While Janelle admitted she was uncertain about the financial dealings between Kody and Robyn, she expressed her astonishment at the quality of Robyn’s backyard, which was well-maintained and fully equipped with various features. “I always wondered how her backyard looked so nice. It was completely finished, and there always seemed to be something new at her house. I couldn’t help but think, ‘Wow. Interesting,’” she reflected.
Ultimately, Janelle concluded, “He does not prioritize my needs or desires.” This ongoing issue gradually took its toll on her. “Over time, I started to recognize the pattern, and my kids were becoming very frustrated by it, especially my adult children. They would question me, saying, ‘What the hell, Mom?’”
On the flip side, Robyn shared her perspective, emphasizing that she had become meticulous with her finances following the dissolution of her first marriage.
“I used to struggle with money management,” she disclosed in the episode aired on September 22. “My earlier years were filled with challenges, and it was through my divorce that I truly learned how to budget effectively.” When discussing her fellow sister wives, she added, “It seems you must have had different priorities regarding your financial allocations than I did, and that’s perfectly okay.”
