Michael B. Jordan Reflects on Chadwick Boseman’s Lasting Impact on His Life and Career

During an insightful interview for the new Apple TV+ documentary Number One on the Call Sheet, which debuted today on the popular streaming service, Jordan delves into the profound influence that Boseman had on his life and the film industry at large. This discussion comes in light of Boseman’s untimely passing in 2020 due to complications arising from colon cancer, a loss that resonated deeply within the entertainment community.

In a poignant exclusive clip provided to People, Jordan candidly admits to frequently reflecting on his regrets about not checking in on Boseman more often, revealing that this feeling continues to burden him. He expressed, “It’s something I think about often, you know,” and added, “Not checking up as much as I should. It’s something that weighs on me also. I’m not trying to turn this into a therapy session, but Chadwick is special. I was looking forward to, like, you know…” before his voice trails off, hinting at the depth of their friendship.

Jordan and Boseman shared the screen in the groundbreaking 2018 film Black Panther, a monumental success for Marvel Studios and the entire cast and crew involved. Tragically, Boseman passed away just two years later, leaving a significant void in both the film industry and in the hearts of fans and colleagues alike.
