While the glamorous and affluent ensemble of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills enjoys a break from filming, Bozoma St. John is making waves across the globe by empowering young corporate women. Her Badass Workshop Global Tour celebrated National Women’s History Month with engaging events in cities such as Lagos, London, Toronto, New York, and Atlanta. Throughout the tour, Bozoma shared insights about her experiences with the housewives and the much-anticipated reunion. “I initiated these workshops during my time at Netflix, amid the COVID pandemic. There was no elaborate production, just me and my computer discussing business strategies, and it blossomed from there.” This journey is precisely what made her a perfect fit for the franchise. She argues that the show needs more dynamic figures like her.
Bozoma St. John Identifies Her Unique Contribution to ‘RHOBH’
Bozoma’s choice to join a cast known for their marital decisions rather than their professional achievements faced immediate backlash from her peers. When the proposal arose, many were skeptical. “They questioned my decision, stating I had a remarkable career. Why would I want to engage in drama with affluent women on television? However, I recognized an incredible opportunity. I thought, why not? Perhaps they need more corporate powerhouses and self-made women on this platform. I genuinely believe they do,” she articulated unapologetically. When she referenced the penchant for conflict among affluent women, an audience member called out Sutton’s name. “Say her name!” Bozoma responded with laughter, “Why do you all make me do this? But yes, say her name.” This playful jab towards Sutton stirred excitement in the audience, yet Bozoma kept her distance regarding their differences, making it clear she’s not fond of her co-star.
Bozoma Stays Silent on Garcelle’s Exit from ‘RHOBH’
Many fans initially speculated that Bozoma would form a close bond with Garcelle Beauvais since they are the only women of color on the show. Bozoma recognized this expectation but described it as absurd. “Naturally, people will assume that because we are the only Black women on the show, we either must engage in conflict or be best friends. Both assumptions are ludicrous because we are individuals with unique backgrounds and experiences, just like the other cast members,” she asserted. “I refuse to let anyone’s expectations dictate my actions.” Instead of pursuing a friendship with Garcelle, Bozoma has forged a meaningful alliance with Dorit Kemsley, resulting in a beautiful friendship that flourished over the past season.

Andy Cohen had a first-hand experience of Bozoma’s assertive nature when she appeared alongside her co-star Erika Jayne on a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live shortly after news broke about Garcelle’s departure from the show. Andy probed the ladies for their thoughts on Garcelle’s unexpected exit, but instead of expressing disappointment, both women feigned ignorance and pretended not to hear the question. Known for her boldness and candid opinions, Bozoma made it clear that she wouldn’t be drawn into revealing any additional gossip, prompting Andy to quickly change the subject.
Bozoma St. John Embodies Empowerment and Resilience on ‘RHOBH’
Before Bozoma joined the cast of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, her career was nothing short of extraordinary. Her impressive resume includes executive positions at renowned Fortune 500 companies, including Apple, Starbucks, Uber, and Netflix. She became part of the franchise after navigating the profound loss of her husband and making a decision to redirect her career. Following her husband’s battle with cancer, which ultimately claimed his life in 2013, Bozoma faced overwhelming grief and the challenges of being a single mother. Yet, rather than allowing herself time to mourn, she seized the opportunity to work with iconic producer Dr. Dre on the Beats by Dre partnership with Apple Music. Bozoma’s remarkable ability to pivot in her career, often taking unexpected paths, has been a significant factor in her success and the fame she enjoys today.
When the chance to be part of the cast arose, she envisioned outcomes that diverged significantly from the norm. She believed that the platform of Real Housewives could amplify her voice to a wider audience and create numerous opportunities. “I make it a priority to wear African American designers from head to toe whenever I film. This approach not only provides essential visibility to these designers on a national stage but also allows me to contribute positively to my community,” she stated. Recognizing that reunion looks often set fashion trends for the season, Bozoma planned to make a bold statement at the upcoming RHOBH reunion. “Who will I be wearing for the reunion?” she teased the Atlanta Badass audience, “I’m wearing kente cloth from royalty. This fabric has a heritage far older than Dior. In fact, if you trace back the origins of Dior’s patterns, you’ll find them rooted in African culture…in royalty. So at the reunion, while everyone showcases their designer labels, they will be addressing me as Bozoma, adorned in kente royalty.”
