Motley Crue has officially announced the cancellation of their performance at the Boardwalk Rock Festival, scheduled for May 17, as lead singer Vince Neil continues his recovery following a recent medical procedure. Just last month, the iconic rock band postponed their Las Vegas residency, initially set for the spring, to September 2025. Now, they have confirmed their decision to withdraw from the upcoming festival, which has left fans eager for updates regarding their favorite band’s health and future performances.
Details Behind Motley Crue’s Withdrawal from the Boardwalk Rock Festival
While the earlier announcement regarding the postponement primarily focused on the Las Vegas residency, it did not address the band’s participation in the Boardwalk Rock Festival. Recently, however, Motley Crue released a new statement to clarify their inability to perform and announced the band stepping in to take their place.
Initially, they were slated to co-headline the festival alongside Def Leppard on the opening night, but now Alice in Chains will be stepping up to fill the gap left by Motley Crue’s absence.
