Renowned guitarist Michael Schenker has officially revealed the much-anticipated U.S. tour dates in support of his latest album, My Years With UFO. This exciting tour will feature legendary ’80s metal band Armored Saint as the opening act for select performances, promising an electrifying combination of classic rock energy.

The U.S. tour kicks off on September 5 in the vibrant city of Orlando, Florida, and is set to wrap up on October 12 in Houston, Texas. Notably, Armored Saint will join Schenker from October 2 through October 12, enhancing the concert experience for fans.

Last September, Schenker released the album My Years With UFO, which has garnered significant attention. The album features re-recorded renditions of iconic tracks from his impactful, albeit brief, time with the band, showcasing classics like “Lights Out,” “Too Hot to Handle,” “Doctor Doctor,” and “Rock Bottom.”

This star-studded album includes contributions from music legends such as Dee Snider, Joe Lynn Turner, Slash, and Axl Rose. Interestingly, Schenker revealed that he did not need to extend an invitation to the elusive frontman of Guns N’ Roses, as Axl’s vocals are featured on the track “Love to Love.”

In an interview with UCR, Schenker recounted, “When Slash came to the recording studio in Frankfurt to collaborate with me, he mentioned, ‘Oh, I told Axl I’m coming here today to work with you.’” Schenker further shared, “Axl then asked, ‘Oh, can I sing a song?’ I responded, ‘Oh, really? Ask Axl which song he wants to perform.’” This highlights the collaborative spirit and camaraderie among these legendary musicians.
