Directed by Akiva Schaffer, a member of the comedy trio The Lonely Island, this new Naked Gun film is in capable hands. Schaffer is known for his work on Saturday Night Live and directed the recent Chip ’n’ Dale: Rescue Rangers movie, which cleverly satirizes the culture of legacy sequels. His expertise in comedy makes him an excellent choice for this project. Likewise, Liam Neeson is a brilliant casting decision; his experience in serious action films over the past 15 years, coupled with his comedic voice work in The LEGO Movie, allows him to effectively lampoon his own tough-guy image.
