New Drummer for Guns N’ Roses Announced

Guns N’ Roses have officially appointed Isaac Carpenter as their new drummer, marking a significant change in the band’s lineup. This announcement has generated considerable excitement among fans, as Carpenter is known for his impressive drumming skills and musical versatility.

For many followers of the band’s history, Carpenter’s name might ring a bell, particularly from his time with bassist Duff McKagan’s band, Loaded. He showcased his drumming talents with them from 2009 to 2011, contributing to their album The Taking, which highlighted his ability to blend various musical styles seamlessly.

The band’s statement emphasized Carpenter’s unique style, stating, “Carpenter has made a name for himself by uniquely blending versatility and groove with crushing force and technical skill.” This reflects his established reputation as a highly skilled drummer who brings both creativity and technical prowess to the stage.

In addition to his work with Loaded, Carpenter has spent the last decade as a vital part of Awolnation, performing on their last five albums. He co-founded the group Loudermilk during his high school years and has collaborated with various renowned artists like Adam Lambert, A Perfect Circle, and The Exies, both in live performances and studio recordings.

On Wednesday, Guns N’ Roses revealed that they have amicably parted ways with Frank Ferrer, who served as the band’s drummer since 2006, making him the group’s longest-tenured drummer. The band expressed their gratitude in a statement, thanking Ferrer for his “friendship, creativity, and sturdy presence over the past 19 years,” and wishing him success as he embarks on the next chapter of his musical journey.
