While fans can continue to enjoy the full show on YouTube, the expertly mixed audio by Robert Smith will be available for purchase on vinyl, CD, and cassette starting in early 2025. Pre-orders for this highly anticipated record are already open, and all proceeds will be generously donated to the U.K. charity War Child, which supports children affected by conflict.
The release of The Cure‘s Songs of a Lost World has proven to be a remarkable success for the legendary band. Not only did it mark their first U.K. No. 1 album since 1992’s Wish, but it also made a notable return to the top of the U.S. charts, capturing the hearts of both new and longtime fans alike.
>This new album achieved the band’s first No. 1 ranking on the 33-year-old Top Album Sales chart and reached an impressive No. 4 on the Billboard 200, marking their highest charting position since 1992. Furthermore, it topped multiple charts including Top Rock & Alternative Albums, Top Rock Albums, Top Alternative Albums, Vinyl Albums, and Indie Store Album Sales, showcasing the band’s enduring popularity and relevance.
>The strong sales during the album’s first week were significantly fueled by its release in five unique vinyl variants, which collectively sold an impressive 23,000 copies. This marked The Cure’s best week on vinyl since Luminate began tracking sales in 1991. The album is also available in standard CD format, a CD/Blu-ray audio package, two cassette options, a standard digital download, and a deluxe digital download that includes five exclusive bonus live tracks available only on the band’s official webstore.
