Pharrell Unveils Debut Jewelry Collection With Tiffany & Co.
Pharrell has officially rolled out his initial jewelry collection in partnership with esteemed business Tiffany & Co.
Released on Monday (June 3), the “Tiffany Titan” collection includes necklaces, earrings, bracelets and rings created with diamonds in 18-karat yellow gold or titanium.
“I’m very inspired by the water, and the name of this collection ‘Titan’ draws inspiration from Poseidon, ruler of the sea, King of Atlantis — Atlantis, which is also the name of the community I grew up in Virginia Beach,” Pharrell mentioned in a statement to Women’s Wear Daily.
“The detail in all of the jewelry pieces is very intentional, the use of black titanium…it’s a physical manifestation of beauty in blackness.”
Ever the multi-hyphenate, Pharrell is also operating on a new musical film in connection with Universal Pictures.
The film is reportedly set in Virginia Beach in the summer time of 1977, inspired by the neighborhood exactly where he grew up, especially the Atlantis Apartments.
Actors set to be featured in the film contain Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Halle Bailey, Brian Tyree Henry, Janelle Monáe and Hip Hop legend Missy Elliott.
It’s not clear when the film will be released, as of this writing.
On the musical side of factors, Pharrell quietly dropped a surprise album,Virginia: Black Yacht Rock Vol. 1 — City of Limitless Access, in April – accessible to stream or download solely on the web page blackyachtrock.com.
That web page, according to GoDaddy.com’s WhoIs database, was only produced in March and was most not too long ago updated on April 3.
The 10-track project contains the songs “Richard Mille,” “Just For Fun,” “Caged Bird Free,” and “Cheryl.” No credit or function data was right away accessible.
The web page also includes a solicitation to join a mailing list. Once an address is submitted, a message reading, “Stay tuned…” pops up. So far, Pharrell has not described the album on social media.
The project is the hitmaker’s initial solo release in a decade considering the fact that 2014’s Girl.
