Safaree Admits Hurt Over Nicki Minaj & Meek Mill’s Relationship
Safaree has admitted that seeing his ex Nicki Minaj date Meek Mill caused a “dark time” for him.
The We In Miami podcast shared a teaser to Instagram on Tuesday (July 9) through which the previous Hoodstars member mirrored on his previous relationship with Nicki.
He stated: “When me and Nicki first broke up and she got with Meek and they were, like, the biggest in the world and we was all beefing and shit. You gotta think about — I had two of the biggest people in the world against me.
“That meant everybody would be against me, so nobody wanted to be next to me. Nobody wanted to work with me or none of that shit. So it just made everything hard and that shit that was a dark time for me.”
Safaree additionally spoke about how folks rooted in opposition to him throughout this time: “I’m not even gonna sugarcoat shit. I used to be with Nicki, we broke up. Her followers and sure folks they only wished it to be like, ‘Okay, they not together no more. Fuck him, let it be nothing. Let him disintegrate, let him disappear, whatever.’

Back in 2016, he spoke with Rap-Up and confirmed that the “Dreams & Nightmares” rapper played a part in the end of his years-long relationship with Nicki Minaj.

The Love & Hip Hop Hollywood star vaguely confirmed Meek as the reason for their split by commenting on The Game’s Instagram put up exposing the rumor that Meek FaceTimed Nicki whereas Safaree was with one other girl.

Hours later, Meek appeared to mock Safaree by way of Snapchat, importing a photograph of himself with a “Hey bighead” caption and a crying face emoji.

Meek Mill isn’t the one rapper who has upset Safaree following his cut up from Nicki.
Earlier this yr, the Brooklyn native admitted that he was “hurt” when Nas kissed the Young Money rappr in her “Right By My Side” music video.
“You wanna know what’s so crazy? I didn’t know it happened until the video came out,” he revealed throughout an look on the Keep It a Stack Podcast. “N-gga, I was hurt. When that shit happened, I was hurt.
