According to THR, news has emerged that Samuel L. Jackson is in advanced negotiations to join the highly anticipated cast of J.J. Abrams’ latest mystery feature film. While specific details about Jackson’s character remain undisclosed, sources indicate that he will take on a key role in this intriguing project. Looking ahead, fans can anticipate Jackson’s appearance in Afterburn, a sci-fi action film set a decade after a catastrophic solar flare has devastated technology worldwide. Jackson takes on the role of Valentine, a freedom fighter who teams up with Dave Bautista, portraying Jake, an ex-soldier turned treasure hunter. Together, they embark on a mission to recover valuable artifacts from the old world. The plot thickens as they race against time to retrieve the Mona Lisa before a dangerous warlord can seize it.
