The renowned rock band Scorpions have made the difficult decision to postpone their 2025 Las Vegas residency to allow their talented drummer, Mikkey Dee, more time to recover from a serious battle with sepsis. This announcement reflects the band’s commitment to prioritizing the health and well-being of their band members above all else.
In a heartfelt message shared across their social media platforms, the band expressed, “We regret to inform you that due to Mikkey Dee’s ongoing recovery from his recent hospitalization, we have made the decision to postpone our Coming Home to Las Vegas Residency to August 2025. The health and wellbeing of our brother is of the utmost importance.” This decision underscores the band’s close-knit dynamic and their dedication to supporting one another during challenging times.
The Scorpions were initially set to kick off their highly anticipated “Coming Home to Las Vegas 60th Anniversary” residency on February 27 at PH Live, located within the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. The residency, which was supposed to run through March, has now been rescheduled to take place from August 14 to 23, marking their third stint in Las Vegas since 2022. Fans can still look forward to the energetic performances alongside Buckcherry, who will be providing support during these rescheduled dates.

Understanding Mikkey Dee’s Near-Death Experience During His Battle with Sepsis
Recently, Mikkey Dee bravely shared the harrowing details of his fight against sepsis, a life-threatening condition caused by a bacterial blood infection, indicating that he was perilously close to death. He took to Facebook to recount his experience, stating, “This holiday season, I have been hospitalized with a very serious blood infection (Sepsis). With a rich history of performing with the iconic band Motörhead for over two decades, Mikkey Dee joined the Scorpions in 2016. In his candid interview with the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet, he reflected on the severity of his condition, stating, “They cut away what was dead and infected and badly infested.
