Kim Kardashian has been noticeably absent from the headlines recently, and there seems to be a very good reason for this.

It turns out she has been incredibly busy managing the responsibilities of being a devoted mother to her four young children, essentially on her own.

In a recent episode of her friend Zoe Winkler’s podcast, What the Winkler?, the 44-year-old Kardashian opened up about her experiences, sharing, “I think you and I’ve mostly connected on parenting.”

She elaborated on the challenges of parenting, discussing feelings of judgment and the overwhelming sense of solitude that can accompany motherhood, even when surrounded by supportive friends and family members.

Kim Kardashian and her ex-husband Kanye West are proud parents to daughter North, aged 11; son Saint, aged 8; daughter Chicago, aged 6; and son Psalm, aged 5.

After nearly seven years of marriage, Kardashian filed for divorce in February 2021, with the official dissolution of their marriage finalized in November 2022.

It is well-known that West has been largely absent from the lives of his children, which has placed the majority of parenting responsibilities on Kardashian.

During her candid interview, Kardashian revealed the struggles and overwhelming feelings of parenting, emphasizing that she often keeps these feelings to herself due to fears of criticism from the public.

“But sometimes in the middle of the night,” she shared, “when they’re all sleeping in your bed kicking you and crying and waking up — it’s not something that I talk about a lot because I feel like there is always a lot of judgment or people always will jump to the, ‘Oh, but you have the resources to have nannies and to have help.’”

She emphasized that regardless of the support available to her, she feels as though she is essentially raising four children on her own, navigating the complexities of motherhood without enough acknowledgment of her struggles.

While Kanye West has moved on and married Bianca Censori just over a year ago, Kardashian has not pursued any serious romantic relationships since their split.

Even though it might seem like Kim lives in a completely different world as a billionaire celebrity, she can still relate to the everyday challenges faced by other parents of school-age children.

“I mean, even carpool this morning, I had five kids that I had to take,” she explained to Winkler, who is the daughter of actor Henry Winkler. “And everyone wants to leave at, like, different times or wants different stuff. And I feel like I’m at, like, a pit stop of a race car driver.”

Many parents can relate to this chaotic scenario, as it is a common struggle shared by families everywhere, highlighting the universal challenges of parenting.
