We’re excited to announce that significant technical improvements are being implemented on our site. These enhancements will mainly involve a comprehensive overhaul of our website’s theme, marking a shift from the one we’ve relied on since 2012. This new theme serves as the foundational framework, akin to how an engine powers a vehicle, while we aim to maintain the visual aesthetics that our users love. Additionally, we are experimenting with a cutting-edge commenting software that promises to enhance user interaction and experience, addressing previous issues such as duplicate comments and caching problems.

As we make these updates, we kindly ask for your patience and understanding during this transition period. We are eager to gather your feedback on the new commenting system, which aims to create a more engaging and user-friendly environment. One of the features we’re currently developing is an “expand all” button to streamline your commenting experience, making it easier for you to engage with other users.

For your convenience, you can continue to share your thoughts using a temporary email if you prefer. Additionally, we’re introducing two exciting features: the ability to upvote comments (indicated by the +0 next to the Reply button) and the option to edit your comment for a duration of 15 minutes, even if you are not logged in. After posting, simply hover over your comment to find the gear icon located in the lower right-hand corner, as illustrated in the screenshot below. Both features are designed to enhance your interaction and make commenting more dynamic!

The new commenting system, powered by WPDiscuz, includes a variety of features that I’m still exploring. Some of these include the ability to tag users with @ mentions, view highlighted new comments since your last visit if you are signed in, and even search through comments for specific discussions. We encourage you to stay tuned for these exciting updates that are designed to foster a vibrant community and enhance your overall experience on our platform!
