Teresa Giudice is currently facing significant financial challenges, as she has a substantial debt that requires urgent attention.
Reports from E! News reveal that the star of The Real Housewives of New Jersey and her husband, Luis “Louie” Ruelas, are burdened with over $3 million in tax liabilities. This staggering amount underscores the serious nature of their financial situation.
Records retrieved from the New Jersey Courts website indicate that Giudice is facing a tax lien filed on March 20, amounting to a troubling $303,889. Furthermore, Ruelas has a judgment from March 6 that totals $2,569,842. In addition to this, he is also contending with an outstanding lien of $163,523.94 from December 2024, which adds another layer of complexity to their financial predicament.
As of now, these cases remain active according to the court’s official website, highlighting the ongoing nature of their legal and financial battles.
Despite their high-profile status, the couple, who tied the knot in August 2022, has not yet publicly addressed their ongoing tax issues. E! News has reached out to Giudice in hopes of obtaining a statement, but as of this writing, no response has been received.
This situation is not the first instance of legal troubles for the Bravo star. In 2015, Giudice served 11 months in prison due to serious charges involving mail fraud, wire fraud, and bankruptcy fraud. Her former husband, Joe Giudice, with whom she shares four daughters—Gia (23), Gabriella (20), Milania (19), and Audriana (15)—also faced significant prison time, spending over three years incarcerated for similar offenses. Their tumultuous relationship ended in divorce in 2020 after more than two decades of marriage.
