Unveiling GloRilla’s Nostalgic Throwback Photos

As reported by Local Memphis, earlier this week, GloRilla made a generous $25,000 donation to her alma mater, Melrose High School. This significant contribution is aimed at enhancing educational resources within the institution, fostering a better learning environment for current students.

The donation will specifically fund the creation of a new library space that will provide students with access to advanced technology designed to enrich their learning experiences. This safe and adaptable study area will feature flexible seating arrangements to cater to various learning styles. In a thoughtful tribute, this new space will be named The Gloria H. Woods Media Center.

On Wednesday, December 18, GloRilla was present at the school to participate in the announcement of this initiative. Swipe below to watch her heartfelt appearance and view an initial throwback photo of GloRilla from the school’s yearbook.

Following her donation, the rapper took to social media to share a nostalgic throwback photo from her days as a Melrose student, allowing her fans to reminisce about her journey.

Instagram user @iamj_ro noted, That’s definitely GLORIA in that first picture ”

Instagram user @taureanmeacham shared a thoughtful perspective, It’s great to see these younger artists give back a lot earlier in their careers as compared to previous generations. Say what you want about the content, these young adults are giving back. Just think, a few years ago she was singing FNF and people were more concerned with her appearance rather than her stage presence. See her Glo-Up (pun intended) makes me happy. Salute Big Glo not the little one.”

Instagram user @chefanthonydc reminisced, Photo on the left is how girls used to dress going to the club 2003-2010″

Instagram user @amor.ayonna playfully remarked, She looks like a Gloria in the white Glo you my girl tho lol”
