Results from Round One:
In a decisive victory, AC/DC’s Back in Black triumphed over The Talking Heads' Remain in Light with an overwhelming 86% to 14%. Phil Collins’ No Jacket Required secured a strong win against Kiss’ Creatures of the Night with a score of 64% to 36%.
Bon Jovi’s Slippery When Wet edged out The Cars’ Heartbeat City, achieving 57% compared to 43%. Meanwhile, Ozzy Osbourne’s Blizzard of Ozz defeated David Bowie's Let’s Dance with a commanding 68% to 32%.
In another exciting battle, Bruce Springsteen’s Born in the U.S.A. bested R.E.M.’s Murmur with a solid 72% to 38% victory. U2’s The Joshua Tree also came out on top against Iron Maiden’s Powerslave, winning 59% to 41%.
Tom Petty’s Full Moon Fever achieved a remarkable defeat of Paul Simon’s Graceland with 78% versus 22%, while The Police’s Synchronicity triumphed over Genesis’ Invisible Touch, garnering 73% to 27%.
Guns N’ Roses’ Appetite for Destruction won against Rush’s Permanent Waves with a score of 62% to 38%. Prince’s Purple Rain also emerged victorious against Judas Priest's Screaming for Vengeance at 60% to 40%.
ZZ Top’s Eliminator narrowly defeated Motley Crue’s Shout at the Devil with a close score of 47% to 43%. Furthermore, Journey’s Escape surpassed Peter Gabriel’s So with 64% to 36%.
Dire Straits’ Brothers in Arms dominated Neil Young’s Freedom, achieving an impressive 84% to 16%. In another strong performance, Def Leppard’s Hysteria defeated Billy Idol’s Rebel Yell with a score of 72% to 28%.
Van Halen’s 1984 outperformed The Rolling Stones’ Tattoo You with a notable 79% to 21%. Finally, Metallica’s Master of Puppets emerged victorious over Aerosmith’s Pump with a score of 61% to 39%.
