Toy Story 5: Tim Allen Shares Exciting New Details
Tim Allen is once again taking charge as Buzz Lightyear, reaching out to Star Command for another exciting adventure.
Almost 30 years after he first voiced the iconic character in the groundbreaking 1995 film Toy Story, Allen recently shared insights about his initial voice recording session for the highly anticipated Toy Story 5, which is set to be released in theaters in June 2026. This latest installment promises to bring fresh excitement to fans of the franchise.
During an interview with Collider, published on December 27, the 71-year-old actor expressed his feelings about returning to the beloved role. “It’s really, really weird to get back in it,” he confessed, acknowledging the challenges he faced in reconnecting with Buzz. However, after about two hours of recording, he found himself fully embodying the character once more.
The Santa Clause star, who has consistently shared the screen with Tom Hanks as Sheriff Woody in all four previous Toy Story films, hinted that this new chapter in the cherished animated series is “very, very clever.” He emphasized that the creative teams at Disney and Pixar are not merely focused on financial success. Instead, they are dedicated to crafting a narrative that resonates deeply with audiences.
“I don’t really believe it’s about the money,” Allen stated firmly. “I’m sure they want it to be a success, but that’s not why they did it. Had they not come up with a brilliant script, they wouldn’t have done it and they wouldn’t have called me and Tom.” This dedication to storytelling reflects the filmmakers’ commitment to delivering quality entertainment that engages viewers of all ages.
